Now, that I am older, more wiser and have experienced living a little bit, I totally get the insolent comment.

Some of these inner city football players have been playing since they were 6 and 7 in these newly manufactured and targeted clubs…….
For crumbs or to not be like “those poor left behind” we are willing to put our BLACK babies in emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual danger for a dollar all of the time, it is time for America to pay us ALL our reparations.
Now, not only are the WHITE COACHES making millions and billions off of our inner city BLACK athletes because we “chose” their universities or colleges but NCAA have finally come clean with the fact that AFFLUENT/RICH WHITE students profit greatly off of the backs, shoulders, necks, lives, brilliance, struggles, work ethics, character, determination and false notions of POOR BLACK students.
How are we going to state but coming home to low or no food?
How are we going to state but have pink slips because utilities are on the verge of being cut off as their parents are essential workers?
How are we going to state but reside in homes and outdated public housing complexes where mold, asbestos and high levels of lead surround us daily?
How are we going to state but unable to get to the games to cheer our babies on?
How are we going to state but the same work ethics on the field are not required in the classrooms?
How are they able to perform so flawlessly on the field but their test scores does not match?
Our inner city children clearly have proven to be exceptional, brilliant, and driven for excellence the white teachers in our schools make sure the academics isn’t top priority.
We have had history of grade changing, lies about attendance, and the like.
When we were in school, our BLACK teachers didn’t care who you were, you were a student FIRST and an athlete SECOND and not the other way around.
They were intentional.
They were demanding.
They had high standards.
They didn’t allow coaches to come in attempt to sway them because they were on the same page.
They didn’t lower their standards because you were a top athlete, if you weren’t a top student you DID NOT PLAY.
They didn’t allow excuses because if you can give to your coaches they KNEW you could perform or outperform for your educators, ALL.OF.THEM.
I am beyond proud of the coaches and each and every player but they are only proving what they are CAPABLE and ABLE of accomplishing in the classrooms as well.
It is these white teachers who willfully hold the academic key to what they REALLY COULD GO.
They are outstanding on the field but how about them teaching the business aspect of SPORTS?
How about them teaching the introduction of the many jobs they can go for during the summer in the area of their love?
How about they ALL KNOW the paid internships afforded high school and some middle school students in the NFL?
How about they ALL KNOW about the risk management of this sport?
How about they ALL KNOW about retaliation behind complaints?
How about they ALL KNOW about the constitutional rights of students?
How about they ALL KNOW about liabilities of sport injuries made up by White folks?
How about they ALL KNOW about concussions and the big pay out?
How about they ALL KNOW that the skills they learned on the field are HONESTLY transferrable skills in any work place?
How about they ALL KNOW that what got them to state will get them to entrepreneurism, ceo and building a better East St. Louis, together.
The article above want to sound like they are all serious about good, right, fairness, character, integrity and just learning in general as they never speak on the education malpractice, education theft, curriculum discrimination and defunding of clubs, activites and other things that connect and interconnect with business and organizations that propel us towards greatness, opportunities and access just as white counterparts.
Yet, we just had a major exposure of COLLEGE SCANDAL where RICH WHITE families who had $500,000.00 to just blow gave for COLLEGE ADMISSIONS and so we know they wouldn’t have a problem with giving their children ALL A’S on papers, research, quizzes and tests they they never had to show up, complete or do for classes like us poor.
So it is cool when they do it, have been grandfathered in and given all kinds of passes, perks and amenities but the moment we do it; NOW IT IS AN ISSUE?
It is the understanding that what this community innately CULTIVATES, is nothing new or shocking and it can never be fostered, grown, cultivated or produced in white areas, period.
