How do you train someone to understand that we too are?

How do you train someone to understand that we too must?

How do you train someone to understand that we hurt?

How do you train someone to understand that we feel?

How do you train someone to understand that we deserve?

How do you train someone to understand that we should?

How do you train someone to understand that we will?

Diversity and Trauma training they say…..

How do you train someone to see that I too am?

How do you train someone to feel my pain?

How do you train someone who see poverty to understand IT IS NOT GOOD?

How do you train someone to master loving unconditionally, healing wholly, and being kind no matter what?

How do you train someone who have more LOVE, RESPECT, and FEELING towards animals than me and my family’s life?

How do you train someone to be Christ like?

How do you train someone to be Godly?

How do you train someone who CHOOSE NOT to embrace DIVERSITY?

Honestly YOU CAN NOT AND SHOULD NOT.

The people who NEED diversity training really don’t need nor want diversity training.

The people who NEED NOT own, run or dominate the DIVERSITY INCLUSION AND EQUITY programs are the same people who hide behind laws, rules, codes, mandates, policies and legislation that deny, omit, reject, defund and exclude minorities.

These people are born into STOLEN privilege, access and opportunities and it is in their DNA that they are and have always been superior, domineering, and have the right to disregard.

NOW, let us STOP with the DIVERSITY training and START with the retaliation.

Sensitivity training?
Diversity training?

Equality training?

Trauma training?
Inclusion training?
Equity training?

Naaaaaaaa there is absolutely NO training necessary that these White Folks need.

SENSITIVITY TRAINING- Do sum’n to a GOD DAMN SORRY ASS animal, they will become SENSITIVE af then and start to crying with those deep empath tears and giving deep impassioned speeches after they just made a case why the workhouse should remain open packed with innocent and low level crime BLACK people or just passed HOMELESS MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN as they bought up property and coined them eyesores and laws mysteriously became created about where they can go and be seen

DIVERSITY TRAINING-Too many BLACK AND BROWN folks get to moving in certain affluent zips, secret neighborhood watch meetings occur in homes, money get to being secretly raised, they begin to start expanding or creating NEW gated, fenced or long mile neighborhoods, they start tearing down trees like mad men and women and building like crazy with the invisible WHITES ONLY SIGNS but YET TO BLACKS, it is CLEARLY understood

INCLUSION TRAINING-Wear ANY BLACK POWER, UPLIFTMENT quote or image and they get COLORED ON YOU

EQUITY TRAINING-Run for an office as a BLACK frfr change agent, as an educated, engaged, in tune, rights knowing, intentional, UNapologetic, UNafraid, UNbought, UNbossed and biased CANdidate then YOU WILL SEE FIRST HAND how quick they wake up their sleeping, how quick they unite, how quick they  sabotage, how quick they work against you to make sure that YOU DON’T, WON’T AND WILL NOT but never because you CAN’T AND SHOULDN’T
There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with them but us POC, collectively.

We ALLOW America to do this to us, keep us the working poor, get into our psyche like we NEED THEM when in actuality THEY NEED US, just imagine one day concerning every system we say NO MORE, NOT TODAY…..

Now, fast forward it to 2019, I get all of the meat she left out.

These cute little ways these WHITE: TEACHERS, RESEARCHERS, ANALYSIS, GURUS, TALKING HEADS AND COMMENTATORS attempt to train our children to express themselves, advocate for themselves feel like they matter, have a voice when they leave them in poverty, is wrapped in a country that don’t honor, respect or see their parents HUMANITY or feel that they deserve DIGNITY OR RESPECT and work hard and overtime to keep them oppressed AND THEY GOT TO HEAR SOME BS SHIT coming from children they birthed and their ONLY GOAL is to SAVE THEIR LIVES?

Yeah, I hear her now.

September 15th, 1963 was a dark, cold, brutal, painful and harsh cold day.

It was the day innocent BLACK children were shown they weren’t safe anyplace and it also showed me the disregard of a “hollowed” place white thugs, mobs and gangs had and yet have for places of wodship that we used to organize, strategize, plan and execute progress.

This was the weekend of the commemoration of the 16th Street bombing where 4 little girls were killed, 1 visually impaired and 2 young boys killed also in the same community by WHITES.

This was the weekend moms began to hit the streets at the senseless gun violence that has had no age limit or socioeconomic class in robbing us of our BLACK babies.

We have lost a total of 25 babies of gun violence and nothing has been done on the local or nationallevel due to our children not seen as humane or worthy.

Today, our MOTHERS OF THE MOVEMENT are women thrust into a SORROWity and become line sister without their permission.

BLACK MOMS rehearse this ritual that is ALL TOO FAMILIAR to BLACK MOMS lived experience.

MOTHER’S OF THE MOVEMENT are women who understand that on the couch, in the house, detatched, silence, god, praying were not things that will change nor dismantle this racist ass system.

THEY BEGAN TO CREATE AND INVENT

NURTURING
HEALING
POURING FROM EMPTY VESSELS
SHOWING UP EMPTY AND LEAVING AN OVERFLOW
PLANTED SHADE AND RIPE FRUIT TREES

Today’s MOTHERS OF THE MOVEMENT lead in:
EDUCATING
EXPOSING
EMPOWERING
BRUTAL CONVERSATION FACILITATING
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
COMMUNITY REIGNITING
RENEWING THE IGNORANT AND NOVICE MINDS

These things are ALL key ingredients to this FULL COURSE MEAL OF A BETTER WORLD FOR OUR FUTURE.

I really hope that this is our FIRST STEP to mending, healing, forgiving, sincerely loving, building, interconnecting, teaching, learning, growing and truly grasping what MY SISTER’S KEEPER, ALL OF OUR SISTERS is really about, ALL INCLUSIVE.

To be a mom, ESPECIALLY A BLACK MOM is to CONSTANTLY be resisting, resilient, reciprocal and remembering.

I don’t have to say the roles WE wear as moms, women, daughters, sisters, aunts and grands looks effortlessly flawless on us, in spite of being bashed, rejected and misunderstood. We are ALWAYS in survival mode.

These roles bring out things within us that WE KNEW/KNOW were within but perfected suppressing, denying and forgetting.

Today I woke up thinking about those MEAN MOTHERS.

These are the mothers who is NEVER pleased, always brute in tone, harsh in her looks, pain in her actions, absence in your life and moments of celebrations, distant in her love, care and compassion, loved by ALL the other children BUT her own, the women who looked out her window with that I WISH A MOFO CHILD WOULD STEP ON MY FRESHLY MANICURED LAWN OR GRAVEL FILLED UNKEPT GRASS……

Yeah we ALL know them, if we did not have them in our households then they were at CHURCH, SCHOOL and in the HOOD.

These women I LOVE DEARLY!

Now that I am older, now that I am more in tune to America and now that I am a mom and got a glimpse of our HISTORY as a POC, these women STILL had a hand in how we turned out, these women STILL managed to overcome abuse. These women STILL raised their own and us although it wasn’t how we had wished or how society said they should but it was the BEST WAY THEY KNEW HOW.

These women made us terrified to the point, WE KNEW WHAT RESPECT AND HAVING MANNERS WOULD AND WOULD NOT GET US.

These women were often left solo with a LOT of children or didn’t get why he left or if he stayed why she was his doormat and he beat her like an animal and she was supposed to LIVE UP TO WHAT THE BIBLE SAID.

O, they were deeply religious and deeply broken, abused and distant women but yet they STILL had a hand in the men and women we became.

TO LO THOMAS…….

Just like 5 years ago, you STILL remained the REELIST AND REALIST.

YOU reeled in the confused mind

EDUCATORS MUST FIRST LOVE AND THEN LEAD WITH:

Vision- See our children of color’s humanity, see our children of color’s legislated hardships, see our children of color’s individuality, see our children of color’s potential, see our children of color’s ambitious, see our children of color’s creativity, see our children of color’s reality, see our children of color as people and worthy of understanding what is out of their control.

Opportunity- Understand that when one see standards and expectations beyond the surface, they will find ways to deliver opportunities to pull out what is within our children. Poverty is nothing new, oppression is nothing new, being marginalized is nothing new, and being legislated maltreatment and malpractice is nothing new; what is NEW is a people who are paid to educate but not pouring into and pulling out of our children of color in our inner cities intentionally because they see first hand what they are dealt, how they are served and what they face and STILL manage to get up, come to school and attempt to execute nothing. These teachers know today that their children’s competition are these inner city students who are hard, solid, strong, resilient and brilliant and show them first hand how to handle obstacles, trials, tests and walls put up to lock out, lock up, lock down and lock away and somehow they manage to debunk and succeed anyway.

Intuition- Educators should know but today we have educators who NEVER had to feel, care, be concerned or show a level of love and support the way we did as a POC. So, they don’t have that seventy sense as we do. We have a strong intuition because maybe the slave maters was coming or something but we normally are such a deeply religious people and feel deeply and knowingly that we just GET IT, we just KNOW, we just CARE and it is attached to our humanity.

Caring- I hear diversity training, sensitivity training, inclusion training and equity training these things are such a joke to me, how do you train someone to see someone’s humanity? How do you train someone to care? How do you train someone to be fair? How do you train someone to love others? How do you train someone to not hurt others? How do you train someone to honor someone? YOU DO NOT. No one is born like that, they are taught how to be malicious, vicious, condescending, and hurtful. IT IS THERE CHOICE.

Empathy-To put yourself in another’s. We see the tears and heart when it comes to White Children, Law Enforcement and Animals all of the time so therefore we KNOW THEY CAN so honestly THEY CHOOSE NOT to give it to all others and that is some kind of control to turn it on and off of which make me question the sincerity of it for their own and animals.

Show up- JUST BE THERE FOR THE CHILDREN, FOR THEIR PARENTS, FOR THE COMMUNITY AND THEN AND ONLY THEN WILL YOU GET THE DESIRED RESULTS.  THE CHILDREN KNOW WHEN YOU ARE FOR THEM OR AGAINST THEM, NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY THEY KNOW.
