Why do we always give white folks the benefit of the doubt?
Why do we always say we can’t judge them all the same way?
Why do we not believe that they have great disdain towards BLACK AND BROWN people that assure them that their bills and notes are paid?
Why do we not believe that what they do, say and how they feel protects, upholds and covers them under white supremacy?
Why do we turn a blind eye and dear ear knowing that they get us when we bare our souls, truth, hurt, and fear?
Why do we not believe that they want NO PARTS of us other than our muscles and minds behind closed doors and curtains?
Why do we not believe that they want us to work long hard and often and INTENTIONAL to make them comfortable as we do now?
Why do we see that our children are provided or LEGISLATED the worst possible education, to reside in the most environmentally hazardous communities, and zoned in homes where they inhale and exhale toxicity?
Why do we not believe that they continually LEGISLATE LAWS, RULES, POLICIES that KEEP us oppressed and marginalized and on top of all of that, CRIMINALIZE US FOR IT?
In spite of being rejected, told we couldn’t and shouldn’t and even denied;
When we were the COLOR of medicine we made in healthcare, for all MANY great progress and strides.
I look at the state of education of our children who are defendants of the most brilliant minds and have the hue of Brown and Black;
If we continue at the rate we are going, yep we will be right where started, bit this time, we will be leading us in the back.
Core subjects that we mastered because our teachers made no excuses because of poverty or oppression and also shared our hue;
The COLOR of medicine was a given, because the foundation that was made by ALL stake holders in our educational attainment and journey choose to invest in us and envision greatness and so therfore we knew what was expected fdom is by all because of what they deposited in me and you.
Our girls are cognizant of what MEDICAL APARTHEID resembles while in hospitals, I pointed out who wear WHITE COATS AND SCRUBS along with what tasks they do;
I have them watching how those in power LEGISLATE low education for them and others in impoverished zipcodes that assures funds will circulate through WHITE HANDS and keep them elevated and in power too.
POC were scientists, physicians, mathematicians and many other professionals too and it was BLACK MISLEADERSHIP and these MANY nonprofits, help groups, tutorial BUSYnesses came in and robbed us of what came naturally;
THE COLOR OF MEDICINE, IF ONLY OUR STUDENTS KNEW THEIR FOUNDATION, THEY CAN CHANGE ALL OF THIS EXPEDITIOUSLY.
I WOULD LIKE TO SEND THIS OUT TO KEITH MCCASKILL, JR. WHO IS NOW DECEASED. THIS MORNING I DECIDED TO LISTEN TO A VIDEO HE POSTED.
I SAT WITH IT A WHILE. HE INSPIRED, ENLIGHTENED AND ENCOURAGED ME TO NEVER BOYCOTT AGAIN.
HIS VIDEO WAS ON BLACK FOLKS NOT SUPPORTING BLACK FOLKS FINANCIALLY. HE STATED THAT WE WILL BOYCOTT, WE WILL PROTEST, WE WILL DO ALL OF THESE THINGS AND IN HIS VIDEO I HEARD SOMETHING DEEPER.
HERE WE ARE BEING TOLD, WE ARE NOT ALLOWED, OUR MONEY IS NOT WANTED, WE ARE BEING TREATED UNJUSTLY, INHUMANELY, AND IMMORALLY AND WE STILL WANT TO GO IN AND SUPPORT THEIR ESTABLISHMENTS, KEEP THEIR LIGHTS RUNNING, PAY THEIR BILLS AND WATCH THEM HOP ON THE HIGHWAYS TO LEAVE WITHOUT LEAVING ANY INVESTMENTS IN RETURN.
WE HAVE GOT TO BE CRAZY.

There will come a time when your life’s coach won’t be present and you MUST SAVE YO SELF.

We POC hear harshness and understand it’s meaning
We POC hear brutal speech and understand greatness is being extracted

They are WEAK minded, they are OFFENDED easily, they aren’t used to working hard, long, hard and in ALL KINDS OF WEATHER, they are given the world, they get unearned credit just because well, THEY ARE WHITE.
They hire BLACK COACHES because of the history of BLACK ATHLETES
They hire BLACK COACHES because of their toughness
They hire BLACK COACHES because of their demand for excellence
They hire BLACK COACHES because of their level of commitment
They hire BLACK COACHES for their skill level
They hire BLACK COACHES for their knowledge of the sport
They hire BLACK COACHES because they have a no excuse policy
They hire BLACK COACHES because they highlight academics as well

The first tear of these mentally and physically weak, no work ethics, crying WHITE girls, now they are speaking of criminal charges?
These White athletes are used to being HANDED UNEARNED access, accolades, opportunities, positions, and rankins and this proficient, dedicated, proven coach said NOT ON HIS WATCH.
Our inner city coaches are the REAL millionaires.
I guess someone talked since into the executive of AAU and they “created” the Urban Initiative in 2015 b but have been in existence since 1888. I am sure they partner with these chiropractors that make a killing off of our Black athletes. Our inner city coaches are on the frontlines and they equip and ready our inner city children to be passed on to colleges ready (mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally).
So what do they do first, DEFUND and DENY us access and inclusion. If we can’t afford it or travel to it then we can’t defy the odds, compete and dominate, in that order.
For some reason, this country don’t see us as assets but liabilities when it comes to our contributions and this is the season that we need to be compensated for all we do and have done. Our work ethics speak for itself. Just as any sport, volleyball is the same. Volleyball isn’t a white sport, it’s an exposure, access, financial means and opportunity sport. In our inner city schools our poor children assure their white teachers children’s notes, bills, social and athletic clubs and tuitions are paid on and in a timely manner.
I always tell my two girls who dominate on the volleyball court, it is never about our inner city student-athletes ability but always about access, opportunity, inclusion and funding. They know when we show up that we will defy the odds, dominate.
#PTSD if you are WHITE it mean that you suffer from POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER where you faced some traumatic experience in your life and have side effects that disrupts “normal” life. It is normally treated as a mental illness and prescription medication is given.

As I reflect on how the construct of this “great” country is set up and even in being robbed, lied to and about, lynched, killed, framed, stripped, omitted, denied, vilified and zoned inferiority, suppression and oppression, WE POC ARE STILL WILLING TO GIVE THANKS and FOR GIVE and that should make those who do AND benefit from those things and feel that way FEEL SOME KINDA WAY and it does, HONESTLY, IT DOES.

ASK FOR FORGIVENESS FROM YOUR CHILDREN AND IT IS IN THE MOST TRANSPARENT MANNER, YOU TELL THEM OF YOUR HUMILIATIONS, BROKENNESS AND ABUSED STATE WHILE HOLDING UP A MIRROR THAT WASN’T YOU, I PROMISE YOU THAT THIS THANKSGIVING WILL BE ONE FOR THE HISTORY BOOKS!

To be drilled and killed the Word of God that this living is a blessing, that this living is to not be questioned, that this living is working out for a good that never comes, that this living cause us to get an illness at a too young age that somehow gives glory to God, that this living is preyed upon and victimized and we must keep that faith talk.
To work hard in an educational institution with little to know resources but yet believe, to go through PreK-12 and never learn how to be a contributor or asset but a liability, to walk through metal detectors because America breeds, positions and prunes criminal behavior that they legislate due to withholding needed and vital resources BUT WE NEVER COMMIT CRIMES IN OUR SCHOOLS……
To graduate and STILL have BIG dreams, lofty goals and clear visions to go through all of that and step foot on a college campus. We fo and spend 2-3 years taking classes, being put on probation and academic suspensions that we don’t/didn’t need but because of LEGISLATED EDUCATION MALPRACTICE and the standards, goals and expectations they had for us but we didn’t have for ourselves or our families; we went along to get along….
We not knowing a single thing about finamces, money management, budgeting and investinf we were tokd ALL WE HAD TO DO WAS SIGN OUR NAME ON THE DOTTED LINES A CHECK WITH LARGE NUMBERS is something we could pick up at the Financial Aid office on Friday or Thursday. Waaaaaat?
You see although WE went off to school, our lived ones wwre STILL impoverished, in need, lacking and without.
Nope we didn’t have to nor did anyone make us go in major debt but we did and we would do it over again if need be.
We FIIIIINALLY graduate, some had large cheering sections, others small, others no one showed up. We come back home but during the course of this, you find out just because you have a degree does not mean they have to hire us in our specified field. (THAT SHIT IS REAL)
Now after being defiant, tuened down for many interviews you have to end up taking SOMETHING. NO JOBS, DELAYED ON REPAYMENT OF LOANS, DELAYED ON BILLS MAKES YOUR CREDIT SCORE LOW, LOW CREDIT SCORES BLOCKS US FROM HOUSES, AUTOMOBILE AND REPUTABLE EMPLOYMENT
Now the family begin to grow and you try to process EVERYTHING and your mins begin to start playing tricks on you.
Mental Illness
On the outside we have careers, families, posh living ways, ya know things that convey we are in this or that category but we are yet unfulfilled. We are told as women that we are to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps, we are coined as ghetto, we are made to feel less than, we are made to feel inferior, we look at what our “BIG SISTERS” have and secretly admire them and attempt to emulate them and aren’t even noticed by them.
On the inside, we are confused, enraged, angry, unfulfilled, and unhappy, we wear our mask well!
On the outside, we are fly, we work hard long and for hours to keep up the image, we are every woman, we are focused women, we go above and beyond, we have mastered playing the game the way we should but on the inside we are dealing with turmoil, and rejection.
On the outside, we have a sisterhood of biological beings that we can run to but on the inside, we can’t really share what we are dealing with it would paint us as weak, failures, why do we want to be alone, why is it hard to say I need help or a break from the monotony of life, is that too weak to reach out and ask, because I don’t want to crack the hell up?
On the outside, we have a life of luxury but on the inside we fret!
As Black women, we are authentic lovers, healers, nurturers, and menders. We love hard, we build relationships easily, and we have gotten away from being our sister’s keeper. We used to cry when others cry, we used to rejoice when others rejoice, we used to gather, we used to have a sisterhood, togetherness about us and I guess this is why I don’t attend things I am invited to from family or friends it is that SILENT ISSUE, mental illness. It is the processing of the whys.
I mean after all, this is my issue. These were my choices. This path that I am on, the bible did say we reap what we sow, right? The Bible say there will always be suffering among us, the bible say there will always be poor among us, right? I guess there is some validity to it because there will never be a perfect world when in all honesty, THERE COULD BE!
My prayer is that our lives will be filled with people who can speak love, longevity, and the good will to change our culture and country. I hope that suffering will end because as we are all privy, IT IS MAN MADE!

Daily I saw classrooms full of: abused, broken, hurt, disappointed, promising, brilliant violent, rage filled young BLACK ladies and I am particularly concerned about them because they are life givers. Our young ladies NEED us, Elizabeths
