Before the baby arrives, the PAIN is heightened, excruciating, unbearable, discomfort is the main course and that rhythmic breathing is tossed out the window and then THE PURPOSE.

2020, THE WORLD have seen AMERICA CLOSELY AND CLEARLY because poor Blacks are accustomed and numb to it.

My purpose is writing, journaling, revealing, healing, showing compassion and loving unconditionally.

In reflecting on 2020; we were on lockdown of a DEADLY PANDEMIC and others STEAL had to getaway, STEAL defied the requests of those on the frontline, STEAL had to open and reopen businesses, STEAL put profit over people, STEAL connect and reconnect, STEAL travel, STEAL love on their families and friends and STEAL without restraint, consideration, regard, unapologetically and unphased about others lives and health.

As you prepare to put a PERIODT at the end of CHAPTER 11 of your life’s journey followed by THE END, IT IS WRITTEN and WELL DONE THEY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT; you are WEILDING another chapter of which is beautifully unfolding before our eyes because YOU have no chains holding you and the many ways you minister are all intentional. The way you HEAL no matter the setting is all divine.

 

PREGGO is what I said to you in one post so I will now explain it to you. Pregnancy is different for EVERY woman just as the birthing of her baby.

Some women are bed ridden from the moment of conception to the trip to the gurney.

Some women have severe morning sickness

Some women eat up everything while others can’t hold down anything

Some women swell beyond recognition while look like they are not pregnant at all

Some women work up until the moment of deliver while some never knew they were or could get pregnant

Some have stillborn while others have preemies

Some have full term babies while some have stubborn

EITHER WAY what’s on the inside of them MUST be birthed.

SOMETHING INSIDE SO STRONG!!!!

I decided in my own way to say, WELL DONE THEY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!

I could not think of a better way to do this tribute other than RHYTHMICALLY ACROSTIC to convey what you mean to us and your worth.

To our girls, today YOU are their Phyllis Wheatley, Harriet Tubman, Shirley Chisolm, Beatty Shabazz, Rosa Parks, Coretta Scott, King, Thelma Ware, Mamie Mobley, Ruby Bridges, Fannie Lou Hamer and the like.

During this CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEment; you are their voice, hue, gender and funny one.

I AM REMINDED OF WHAT MICHAEL BROWN’S MOM, MS. LESLIE MCSPADDEN SAID, “DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT TOOK FOR ME TO GET HIM TO GRADUATE?”

SPOKEN FROM THE HEART AND SOUL OF EVERY BLACK WOMAN, EVEVERY BLACK MOTHER!

AMERICA, DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS FOR US TO GET TO SEE THIS DAY, THE DAY OUR CHILDREN CAN GRADUATE, WALK ACROSS A STAGE AND PRIDEFULLY GET A DIPLOMA?

WHY OF COURSE YOU DO, YOU HAVE IT SET UP THAT THEY CAN’T OR WON’T.

AS A BLACK MOTHER OF THIS MOVEMENT AND LIVING IN THIS MOMENT; DAY TO DAY, HOUR BY HOUR AND SECOND BY SECOND WE KNOW AT ANY MOMENT WE CAN BE ROBBED OF THIS AND ANY JOYOUS OCASSION, THIS EXCITEMENT, THIS PRIDE AND THIS DAY OF HEARING THE NAME OF YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER CALLED BECAUSE THEY HAVE ACCOMPLISHED GREATNESS AND MET ALL REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME BIGGER, MORE AND GREATER.

As an educator in da hood:

We are not essential enough for higher salaries

We are not essential enough for dignity, respect and honor

We are not essential enough to sit at decision making tables and lead the discussions

We are not essential enough to know what’s best for our students since we are on the frontline

We are not essential enough to have smaller class sizes to freely pull from all of our students

We are not essential enough to sling magic minus the script and criminalization of poverty

We are not essential enough for investing in our innate gifts, talents and skills that we bring to the classroom

We are not essential enough to fully resource our schools and classrooms

We are not essential enough to provide needed clinicians so we can educate whole babies

We are not essential enough to see EVERY SINGLE HIRE AS AN IMPORTANT STAKE HOLDER in each one of their future

But now we are essential enough for the vaccine?

But now we are essential enough to be top priority?

But now we are essential?

NOW that President and First Lady Obama are about to turn in their keys, AMERIKKKA once again has robbed BLACK LIVES of GREAT LEADERSHIP, of ALL FALLING UNDER THE CONSTITUTION OF AMERIKKA, of EMPLOYMENT EQUALITY, of HARMONY because POC STILL ARE NOT SEEN AS OR TREATED AS EQUAL TO WHITES.
