Aunty Norma Nelson

Life is indeed a circle.

A circle is a.shaoe that’s unbreakable.

Aunt Norma was a respected and honorable woman who was AUNTEE to extended men and women.

Today when the young people call you AUNTEE, AUNTEE, OR TEE-TEE it’s honor, respect, reverence and a term of endearment, in other words, when you did something great, me.orable, was an act of kindness; because of time, attention or deed you did in my life that left an impression for eternity out you at Aunty status..

There is a saying that goes like this, “In Africa, we don’t send our African elders to old age homes, they stay at home so that they pass intergenerational wisdom.”

I began to look at Aunty Norma’s name and age and our culture and norms has been pushed aside but the Bailey women exemplified class, dignity, perpetual learning, the importance of family and community and service to man kind.

Aunty Norma was a woman of class even during this season, she made every moment priceless and precious with her family.

We are grateful and thankful for the life she lived and shared with us.
