1779, there was a market where they sold all kinds of things AND people; including slaves.

These slaves were put on AUCTION BLOCKS.

These slave owners would measure them up and down.

 

These slave owners would violate them and feel them up and down.

 

These slave owners would decide which slave they preferred.

These slave owners would pay for the BEST slaves they would feel would bring them great profit.

These slaves were only supposed to bring their slave masters shine, profit, opulence, goodness, wealthy and privilege.

These slaves were denied life.

These slaves were denied their liberty.

These slaves were denied any form of pursuit of HAPPINESS.

These slaves were denied their rights ad US citizens.

These slaves were lynched if caught reading.

These slaves were lynched if caught writing.

These slaves were denied THEIR OWN patent.

These slaves were denied their own profit from THEIR intellectual properties, brilliance and inventions.

TODAY as I learned of you two beautiful young ladies on the news, I swelled with pride.

TODAY, the spot where your ANCESTORS stood on auction blocks is NOW the SAME place where you pass out chocolate cookie girls as a vendor that sells out weekly?

This to me is a symbolic gesture of their descendants saying THANK YOU AND BECAUSE OF YOU , I CAN, I WILL AND I MUST.

Those chained tired and weary feet that stood upon those auction blocks have been replaced by some beautiful feet of some YOUNG, BLACK FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS.

I am awe inspired and filled with gratitude for your ingenuity.

45 is NOT making AmeriKKKa more hostile or mentally ill.

45 is intake workers
45 is our children teachers

We will keep things as is in this divisive country as long as you SAY you want justice and equality but keep your children and grand children in WHITE AFFLUENT areas where we aren’t WELCOMED, where it’s OUT OF reach and the lie that we are vicious is deeply engrained and perpetually passed on.

Before there was 45, we had President Obama (44) who was treated with the most unprecedented disregard and disrespect this country has ever exhibited towards OUR COMMANDER IN CHIEF.

White folks not only pulled out but stood upon CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS we always had but they went out of their way to be cruel, mean spirited, racist and hateful towards 44 and his family.

Yeah “THEY” had freedom of speech, the press, and could violently protest but somethings and people concerning the #WH was understood to be off limits and honored NO MATTER WHAT.

White folks blew that so now this NEW WOKE generation think this is how it goes because that is how it went.

44 was a scholar

44 understood he was for ALL of the people

Yet, they can’t honestly grasp HOW WE ARE WHO WE ARE AND CAN DO WHAT WE DO while knowing deep down who they have always been and what they’ve done to us the past 400 years……

Nope, I didn’t know you Ms. Jackie M Olden but this cut deep because you are in MY village be it known or unknown.

You were called a many names but I am sure SERVANT was the most cherished.

You lived a LIFE of serving humanity from the children to the seniors but what I loved learning about you is that YOU WERE A TOASTMASTER AND AN ACTIVIST.

I zeroed in on those two because yes I am a master and GOD has taken me out of my shell to use my voice for OUR children in our inner city schools and community.

The thief who stole her phone only made her STOLEN.

A STOLE is placed around the neck of a student who have met all requirements, taken all necessary courses, who showed up in a timely manner and who passed all quizzes and tests.

Yes that thief really didn’t STEAL anything but the THUG made her known to millions and allowed us to know not only the honorable, well loved and appreciated and selfless woman; but he didn’t know he was stealing from an angle but NOW we all do.

What was thought be bad actually worked out for her good because WE ALL KNOW HER NOW and this is GOOD.

This tragedy has opened up conversation about us honoring, protecting, serving and elevating our seasoned seniors of something we have gotten away from….

How sway when POLITICIANS legislate maltreatment and malpractice?

 

How sway when POLITICIANS dictate the funding?

 

How sway when POLITICIANS view which community is worthy of LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS?

 

How sway when POLITICIANS literally are laid with OUR tax dollars to say what we canamd cannot have, what we can and cannot do and where we can and cannot go or accomplish?

 

How sway when POLITICIANS can control the language of which says who is valuable and devaluabe in maintaining systemic racism?

 

How sway when POLITICIANS are behind what community’s CHILDREN are covered or uncovered of which dictates I’d they will be assets or liabilities to OUR WORLD?

When that LIGHT came on and gave these ladies of various backgrounds their cue..

These young ladies showed not only what SISTERHOOD was but who they resembled; the one who has light within her, COACH MYKEIA THOMAS

They danced as one

Rhey danced in sync

They danced unbiased

They danced on point

They danced like nobody was watching but we were

They danced as they clicked

They danced timely

They danced in harmony

They danced coordinated

They danced unified

They danced in the same step

My take away…….

They gone do and bethem no matter what, keep on dancing and shining

No matter the size, when you see this little rodent scurrying, you normally jump, run, or hop onto something .

 

In reflecting on this little unpleasant animal, it speaks to Dr. Taylor.

 

RODENTS gnaw, scurry and get into the most sealed places and their droppings are proof that they have been there even when you don’t see them.

 

IT IS THERE DROPPINGS that is proof that they have been there and if you have the money, you will call the exterminator to rid your place of abode of them.

 

JUST AS A RODENT, Dr. Taylor’s droppings is proof that she was there.

 

There must ALWAYS be that strong, bold, determined and intentional one to START and others will get behind them. They become the MOTHER of or the FATHER of because so many have decided to travel the road they carved out.

Yesterday, a special woman and I walked the grounds of the arch that was sacred and symbolical to why we call each other friends.

 

Yesterday, a beautiful woman and I walked but before we walked, I STILL could spot this smooth beautiful ass woman from a distance and in a crowded room

 

Yesterday, we just shared space and I allowed her to talk, express and feel safe.

 

STRAWBERRIES are the only seeds (ovaries) that are on the outside. Here is the kicker, EACH SEED on the outside of the STRAWBERRY  is a separate fruit with a seed inside the seed.  She has SEEDS of strength,, resilience, undeniable beauty,  compassion, leadership and ownership and she try to suppress, deny or play small while simultaneously THEY ARE ON THE OUTSIDE OF HER, SHE EVEN IN NOT TRYING AND TRYING TO EXUDE THEM AND I swear that is a…….

 

LEMONADE only comes to fruition after peeling the rind off the lemons and then begin preparing the lemons as you will.

 

She just as ALL women have LEMONS some we prefer never to reveal and others just know and in this UNENDING friendship and this depth of love, appreciation and admiration I have for her:
