Women for ONE DAY, two years straight, FELT each other, HEARD each other, UNDERSTOOD each other, GRIEVED with each other, CELEBRATED with each other and over a month’s time FORGOT that meeting but YET WE WOMEN OF COLOR STILL defend, heal, show up, care, give, speak, listen, mend, appreciate, care for, and understand them IN SPITE OF IT ALL.

As a wo-man, I GET WOMEN, I GET THEM\ I DEFEND HERS
As a wo-man, I UNDERSTAND what isn’t articulated, I HEAR THEM, I GET THEM, I DEFEND HERS
As a wo-man I FEEL the same, I GET THEM, I SEE ME IN THEM AND THEM IN ME, OTHER THAN INCOME AND HUE WE ARE THE SAME, I DEFEND HERS
As a wo-man our INTUITION is 9 times out of 10 on point I SENSE THEM, I APPRECIATE THEIRÂ ANYHOW, I DEFEND HERS
AS WOMEN WE HAVE BEEN TRAINED TO ACT LIKE wo-men, the inferior, weaker, ignorant, docile and lesser vessel when we are CLEARLY the stronger, wiser more dominant vessel because we carry, nurture and raise these MEN WHO CONVINCED US THEY ARE.
