Today we are normalizing intruders coming in to our schools but still allowing our children to live in crime ridden communities?

Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools by hiring someone as an armed intruder response expert but they can’t handle kindergarteners inside their classrooms?

Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but not teaching our children the GOLDEN rules…….

Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools instead of teaching our children how to speak intellectually and clearly articulate and deliver their thoughts, ideas, visions, goals and be confident while doing it.

Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but not seeing who is making money off of our ignorance, illiteracy and who are allowed to exploit us.

Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but we are not teaching our children to care and that all people (bus drivers, cafeteria workers, janitors, maintenance, grounds keeper) ALL are stake holders in their future. No one is lesser than the other and ALL should have respect, honor and an appreciation for choosing to do what they do for our children.

Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but not teaching our children to be accountable, grateful, thankful, appreciative, considerate, inclusive, supportive, empathetic, emotional, generous, and kind. We BLACK teachers demand it, expect it, uphold it, and make them.

 Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but what about our children with dreams, hopes, desires, aspirations, and goals? Who hear them? Who see them? Who understand them? Who even care?
Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but what about our children feeling included, heard, felt, understood and that they matter in front of teachers they know can care less about them, their families and communities?
Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but what about the children believing that they can be anything, do anything and accomplish anything?

Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but what about the children who are in the classroom but seen as, treated as and felt to be invisible?

Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but what about the students who aren’t on the honor roll, in the Beta Club and other scholastic organization but yet still are gifted, talented, highly skilled but due to America defunding clubs and activities it is squandered and they are not partnered with professionals, organizations and businesses that partner with the schools to cultivate what comes natural to our children that they like, love and enjoy.

Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but we have a certain demographics that walk through metal detectors, see law enforcement, have a certain amount of time to eat, play and learn just like they are in prison while we have another demographics who are Blue Ribbon, National School of Character and other “made up” honors while not ALL are in the competition.

Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but we know that when it comes to BLACK children they come to school ripe, resilient, and scholastically in tune. They are outgoing, candid, caring, positive, upbeat, respectful, independent, patience, kind and compassionate.

Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but what about teaching them to build community, strengthen relationships, share their heart and understand that not all have your same journey on this road called life and living.
Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but not uprooting self doubt of their innate inspiration, creativity, brilliance, intellectualism, ability to design, envision, and take nothing and create magic.
Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but failing to teach cursive writing and how to tell time by using an  analog clock?
Today we are normalizing intruders coming into our schools but in this moment and time where our parents have access to more money than our ancestors could ever dream; why is it that WHITE FOLKS come in and create so many “charitable” organizations? We are NO charity cases, our educators back in the day “WHEN WE HAD LESS” sent a notice home and we made sure our parents bought EVERY SINGLE THING ON THE LIST because we didn’t want to be left out and we played a role in our learning process.

Since the kids who NEVER had to show this, say this and be this of course they are NOT teaching this, demanding this, requiring this and making our children exhibit this.

KNOWING THAT THE LIES THESE WHITES TOLD ABOUT BLACKS STUDENTS, SHE BEING A SUBSTITUTE, TOOK HER PENSION AND STARTED HER OWN SCHOOL IN THE HEART OF THE HOOD OF CHICAGO.

SHE TRANSFORMED THE LEARNING OF THE CHILDREN WHO WERE CALLED THE WORST OF THE WORST, HAD LEARNING DISABILITIES AND OTHER LIES WHITES LOVE TO SPEW OVER OUR BRILLIANT BLACK INNER CITY BABIES.

SHE RAISED THE QUALITY

SHE RAISED THE EXPECTATIONS

SHE RAISED THE SPIRITS

SHE RAISED THE STANDARDS

AND SHE RAISED THE CONFIDENCE AND IT WAS UP FROM THERE.

SHE GAVE IMPOVERISHED STUDENTS A CLASSICAL EDUCATION WHILE BOOSTING THEIR BELIEFS ABOUT THEMSELVES AND SHE IS THE MODEL, OUR SCHOOL WAS THE MODEL AND ALL SHE DID WAS WHAT WE BLACKS HAVE ALWAYS DONE, PRODUCES SCHOLARLY CHILDREN THROUGHT THE HOOD.
